Ice Skating Returns to the Everett Arena with COVID-19 Guidelines
Ice skating, stick practice, and hockey return to the Everett Arena starting Tuesday, September 8th with COVID-19 guidelines in place.

Ice skating, stick practice, and hockey are all ready to make a comeback at the Everett Arena. Ice season will officially return on Tuesday, September 8th with some new procedures and precautions in place in accordance with all CDC, State of New Hampshire, and City of Concord guidelines for COVID-19.
The arena will be closed to the public until 20 minutes before a scheduled hockey practice or game and 15 minutes before a stick practice or public ice skating. All guests will complete a screening for COVID-19 before entering the building and will be required to use the main entrance to enter the building and the side entrance to exit the building. Masks or facial coverings will be required while inside with the exception of while on the ice. Social distancing will be maintained and signage will be implemented for the public to follow when entering and exiting the ice. All skaters must skate in the same direction during public skate sessions. Public ice skating will be reduced to 50% capacity.
Adult and youth stick practice will be limited to only 20 skaters and two goalies. Only one parent or guardian will be allowed to accompany a child for youth stick practice or hockey practice. For hockey games, two parents or guardians will be allowed. Parents / guardians must leave the building immediately concluding practice or a game. Hockey players will be instructed to stay in locker rooms until notified and then will be returned immediately to locker rooms post session.

There will also be hand sanitizing stations throughout the building, staff will clean and sanitize at an increased rate, and MERV 13 filtration has been installed to improve air quality.
“We had a successful reopening a couple of weeks ago with a couple of events, and now we’re ready to start ice operations,” stated Jeff Bardwell, Arena & Properties Manager. “The safety precautions in place for the shows made everything run smoothly. Things are a little different for ice season, but we’re ready.”
