Incumbents File to Run for Concord School Board
Jim Richards, Jennifer Patterson, Rusty Cofrin all filed on the first day to signup; challengers have until Sept. 19 to gain ballot access.

CONCORD, NH — The three incumbents currently representing District Concord Board of Education seats all filed to re-election on Sept. 9, 2016, according to School District Clerk Roger Phillips. Jim Richards, who currently represents the District A seat, Wards 1, 2, 3, and 4; Jennifer Patterson, the District B seat holder, for Wards 5, 6, and 7; and Rusty Cofrin of District C, Wards 8, 9, and 10; all filed to run again today, the first day of filing.
Patterson, according to an email last month, said she was “leaning toward running again” but hadn’t made an absolutely final decision, something she did today by re-filing. Both Richards and Cofrin confirmed to Patch that they would be running again.
An information session will be held at the Concord School District central office, 39 Liberty St., at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, for anyone interested in learning more about the Concord school board and how to run for office.
