Jeep Falls Through Ice At Turtle Pond In East Concord: Watch
NH Department of Environmental Services, a supply company, and others help pull the vehicle out of the pond at the Turtletown boat launch.
CONCORD, NH — Concord firefighters and police were called to Turtle Pond in East Concord for a report of a vehicle that fell through the ice near the boat launch Sunday. The incident was reported to fire dispatch just before 8 a.m. at the Turtletown conservation area boat launch. Concord police dispatch then sent an officer to the pond.
After arriving, EMTs learned there were no occupants in the vehicle, a Jeep Wrangler, and no injuries reported. The Jeep was "completely submerged" in the pond, according to scanner chatter.

New Hampshire Fish & Game were also notified about the incident and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services spill response official was also sent to the pond. Another Jeep was brought in with a tow hookup and that vehicle was attached to the NH DES truck for stability. The Jeep with the tow began to pull the other Jeep out as others chipped away at the ice, attempting to make it easier to pull out.
Not long after that, workers from Kamco Supply arrived and assisted by laying boards underneath the Jeep in an effort to help pull it out of the pond.
