Kasich Coming to Concord Next Week

Republican governor from Ohio will be in the capital city for the second Politics and Pie event.

Another potential New Hampshire first-in-the-nation primary Republican candidate will be Concord next week, according to the city’s GOP committee.

Gov. John Kasich, R-OH, will be meeting with local Republicans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, as part of the second “Politics and Pie” event at the Snow Shoe Club.

“After the great success of our first Politics and Pie event, with 50 local voters and activists coming out to meet with Sen. Lindsey Graham, we are very excited to welcome Gov. John Kasich to Concord and to this event,” said Kerry Marsh, the chairwoman of the Concord City GOP. “This is the quintessential First in the Nation Primary event with its intimate setting and question and answer format. I know many voters are looking forward to hearing more about Governor Kasich’s vision for American and solutions to the problems we face.”

Kasich just recently started his second term as governor of the Buckeye State. Previously, he served nine terms in Congress, had written a few books, and also flirted with a presidential run in 2000. After leaving Congress, he worked in an investment banking, commentator, and fellow at Ohio State University. He was elected governor in 2010, and re-elected in 2014.

The event is free and open to all registered Republicans and undeclared voters. RVSPs are appreciated so organizers will know how many people to expect.
