Lawrence Man Pleads Guilty To Drug Conspiracy Charges

Miguel Vasquez made deliveries of heroin and fentanyl to the Merrimack Valley region in Massachusetts and Seacoast areas of New Hampshire.

CONCORD, NH — A Bay State man will be sentenced in July after pleading guilty to drug dealing charges in U.S. District Court on April 11, 2018. Miguel Vasquez, 23, of Lawrence, MA, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute-heroin and fentanyl. Between January and July 2017, Vasquez delivered heroin and fentanyl to customers of a drug organization working out of a home on Water Street in Lawrence to customers in New Hampshire.

Drug users, according to the U.S. District Court, would call to order drugs and Vasquez – and others – would drive to locations in the Merrimack Valley and on the Seacoast to deliver the drugs, including Methuen and Salisbury, MA.

“Those who choose to distribute heroin and fentanyl endanger their customers as well as the general public,” said U.S. Attorney Scott Murray in a press statement. “Maintaining public safety requires that they be prosecuted aggressively. We work closely each day with our law enforcement partners to target those who seek to profit from the sale of these deadly substances.”
