Local Man Faces Assault Charges
Concord Police allege that Eric Frazier choked his girlfriend.
Concord Police were again called to a home on North State Street for a fight between a couple with a previous history of assaults and counter charges.
One person, Eric R. Frazier, 33, of Concord, was arrested at 5:18 p.m. on Feb. 7, and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, simple assault (personal weapons), and criminal mischief (vandalism).
According to a Concord Police arrest report and a court affidavit, an officer was called to North State Street by a third party for a report of a woman being assaulted by her boyfriend.

The woman reported that her boyfriend, Frazier, allegedly appeared at the home around 3:30 p.m. and forced his way in. The woman said she was upset because he had reportedly been cheating on her. She told Frazier not to come in and she would come out. But he allegedly came in and threatened to throw a statue out a window. He later allegedly lifted it up and slammed it down onto a table, causing a glass platter to break.
Frazier then reportedly ran up to the attic of the home and she chased after him, yelling at him to get out. He then came down the stairs and allegedly “pinned her against the wall choking her with both hands around her throat,” according to the report.

“(The woman) stated that she could not breath and felt like she was going to pass out,” the officer reported.
Frazier allegedly let go of the woman and left the area. She went to see if he had left and realized she had her cellphone in her robe. When she went upstairs though, Frazier was allegedly at the door. She turned to lock a door and he allegedly came at her again.
“(She) stated that Frazier grabbed her hand and squeezed it taking the phone away from her and leaving with her phone,” the officer alleged, scratching her hand.
Frazier allegedly left through a basement door before police arrived.
The officer noted that the woman had a minor cut with blood on the palm of her hand and had bruising on her neck “consistent with finger marks.”
The officer called Frazier and asked if he had the woman’s phone and he allegedly stated that he did and had taken it away from her at the home. Frazier was asked to come to police station and he was later arrested.
Previously, Frazier was summoned last year on a criminal mischief charge after allegedly kicking in a door of the home during two days of incidents with his girlfriend, allegedly chasing him with a broom and whipping him with a belt.
