'Lone Survivor' Event Supports Children Of The Fallen Patriots
Gold Star Mom Natalie Healy will be at the Red River Theatre to talk about the film on Oct. 11.

CONCORD, NH — The Children of the Fallen Patriots NH will highlight the valor of soldiers lost in battle and discuss programs to help the children of those lost in the line of duty pursue their college dreams, according to a press statement. The movie discussion with Gold Star Mom Natalie Healy and moderated by Josh McElveen will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 11, 2017, at Red River Theatres in Concord. The event is open to the public.
Jay Lucas, who leads the organization’s New Hampshire effort, stated, “the movie 'Lone Survivor' embodies the sheer physical, mental strength and determination of our soldiers." He added, “Gold Star Mother Natalie Healy whose son was on the daring mission portrayed in the movie, will discuss the her experience working with the actors and producers who made this movie a blockbuster that keeps you on the edge of your seat.”

Lucas explained that the Fallen Patriots organization honors our veterans by ensuring that every child who loses a parent in active military service has their education paid for all the way through college. So noted that thus far, the Fallen Patriots organization has helped more than 800 children across the nation and that New Hampshire is the first state to establish a local chapter.

Lucas said, “New Hampshire is our beachhead in attracting real grassroots support for the cause. The lessons we learn here will then be applied in other states across the country nation.”
The Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation is currently seeking qualified New Hampshire student applicants for college scholarships. Annually, Children of Fallen Patriots awards $6,250 to each student providing scholarships towards a student’s tuition, living expenses, transportation, internet expenses, health insurance and learning materials. Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation is a registered 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt organization under the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. Eligible children include those with a parent lost in active military service defined as combat causalities, military training accidents, service related illnesses, suicide, as well as other duty related deaths as ruled by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
