Main Street Project Breaks Ground on Monday

Official groundbreaking, with speeches, held at 10 a.m. outside the city plaza in front of the Statehouse.

The official groundbreaking for the Concord Main Street Project will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 20, at on the city plaza in front of the Statehouse in Concord.

The ceremony will feature comments by U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-NH, U.S. Rep. Ann McLane Kuster, D-NH, Dan St. Hilaire, the mayor pro tem, and Ward 10 city councilor, and Gerry Carrier of the Merchants’ Roundtable.

An 80,000 pound “road reclaimer” will aim to break the NFL fan sound record of 142.2 decibels amid chants of “We are Concord, we are Main Street” from the crowd, according to the statement.
