Man Stole Liquor, was Wanted by Londonderry Police: Cops
Salem Police arrest Richard Hardy after incident on Saturday at the New Hampshire Liquor and Wine Outlet.

SALEM, NH - A Queen City man was arrested and held with without bail after allegedly shoplifting from a state liquor store twice this month and once in May, according to police.
Richard Hardy, 33, of Manchester, was arrested on June 4, 2016, on two counts of willful concealment, resisting arrest or detention, and a warrant.

According to a report, employees at the New Hampshire Liquor and Wine Outlet called police to report a man shoplifting in the store. They alleged that the man had been there twice before during the past week and also reportedly stole merchandise at that time but fled before employees could stop him, according to Capt. Joel Dolan of the Salem Police Department.

“Upon arrival, officers located the male exiting the store,” Dolan alleged. “As officers approached the male to speak with him, he immediately fled on foot. He was quickly apprehended and taken into custody.”
Hardy was wanted on a warrant out Londonderry by police in that community so he was held without bail. The previous alleged thefts were on May 31, and June 2, 2016, according to store employees. He was arraigned on June 6.
Last year, according to a post on Concord NH Patch, Hardy was arrested for allegedly stealing a bottle of Johnnie Walker Green from the liquor store on Storrs Street. He was also arrested in September 2015, according to a post on Manchester Ink Link, attempting to steal a laptop on Elm Street in the Queen City. He was also allegedly in possession of pills and hypodermic needles.
