The trooper cleared the other scene, caught up to the Chevrolet, and pulled it over just north of Exit 10.
The trooper “immediately observed that (Kingsbury-Laffond) was displaying signs of impairment,” according to the report. He was asked to get out of the vehicle but allegedly refused repeatedly. The trooper alleged that it looked like Kingsbury-Laffond was going to try to flee the scene so he was physically removed from the vehicle.
Other troopers showed up to provide assistance but Kingsbury-Laffond allegedly continued to resist. He was Tased “multiple times” with “no apparent affect,” according to the report.
Troopers later were able to get him cuffed and into the cruiser but while there, “he continued to be combative by kicking, banging his head and making multiple threats,” according to the report.
Kingsbury-Laffond was taken to Catholic Medical Center were he was reportedly sedated so that he could be evaluated. He’s due in court on July 9.
