Ken Schaefer receives Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary designation

PEMBROKE, NH, ISSUED MAY 5, 2015…Manchester, NH resident Ken Schaefer, a business broker and deputy director with Business Transition Strategies in Pembroke, has been awarded the designation of Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI) by the national association M&A Source.

The Atlanta-based M&A Source is the world’s largest international organization of experienced, dedicated merger and acquisition intermediaries representing the middle market. Since 1991, the M&A Source has addressed professional issues of merger and acquisition specialists. The organization has over 300 intermediaries active in middle-market transactions across the U.S., Mexico, Europe and other international locations. It provides education, networking, conferences, member tools, peer-to-peer roundtables, deal making expos and other support, all specific to M&A specialists.

The designation is awarded to those who have proven professional excellence through verified transaction experience, education, conference attendance, and peer review, the association said in making the announcement. Less than 100 professionals have achieved this designation, making it the “gold standard” of the industry.

Schaefer, who has worked in the business brokerage industry since 2006, works most frequently with businesses sellers and purchasers in the manufacturing and distribution industries. In addition to his M&AMI credential, he is also a Certified Business Intermediary.

Schaefer also serves on the Board of Directors of the New England Business Brokers Association, as well as Opera New Hampshire.
