Man’s Body Recovered in the Merrimack River in Boscawen
Daron Graham, 20, of Penacook, drowned on July 6, just over the Concord line.
The body of a man who drowned on July 6, while swimming under the Route 4 bridge just over the Concord line in Boscawen has been recovered.
Daron Graham, 20, of Penacook, was found at around 9:10 a.m. on July 7.
According to sources at the scene, the body was found in about 10 feet of water just to the south of the bridge but north of the Hannah Duston memorial.

Heavy current and an uneven bottom of the river made the search difficult, according to officials.
Rescue workers, including Boscawen Fire and Police, Penacook Rescue, Concord Fire, along with state police and Fish and Game were all involved in the effort.

On July 6, after abandoning the search due to darkness, the Army Corps of Engineers raised the Franklin Falls Dam of the Pemigewasset River, which runs into the Merrimack, in an effort to lower the water levels downstream so the man’s body could be found.
Marine patrol issued a warning about swimming in lakes and rivers around the state on July 7, due to elevated waters and strong currents caused by heavy rainstorms around the state in recent days.
