Mass. Trucker Accused Of Killing 7 Motorcyclists In NH Indicted

CONCORD, NH — The Massachusetts truck driver accused of driving under the influence, crashing into, and killing seven motorcyclists has been indicted by a grand jury in Coos County, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office. Volodymyr Zhukovskyy, 23, of West Springfield, MA, faces more than 20 felony counts and is accused of driving a 2016 Dodge 2500 truck with an attached trailer on Route 2 in Randolph on June 21 and plowing into seven motorcyclists.

Albert Mazza, Daniel Pereira, Michael Ferazzi, Edward Corr, Joan Corr, Aaron Perry, and Desma Oakes all died due to the crash. They were members or supporters of the Marine JarHeads, a New England motorcycle club that includes Marines and their spouses. Four riders were from New Hampshire, two were from Massachusetts, and one was from Rhode Island.

The charges include seven counts of manslaughter, seven counts of negligent homicide-DUI, seven counts of negligent homicide, and single counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated and reckless conduct.

All of the counts are felonies. The DWI and reckless conduct charges are due to 14 other people being injured during the crash.

Zhukovskyy is scheduled to be arraigned in Coos Superior Court on Nov. 5. He has previous pleaded not guilty and is being held.

Zhukovskyy, according to published reports, had previous incidents of drunken driving in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Texas, and should not have been driving. He was working to a Bay State transportation company at the time of the crash.
