Mass. Woman Arrested for Forging Prescriptions

NHSP: Andrea Fournier of West Roxbury allegedly passed fraudulent scripts from a doctor in Waltham at pharmacies in New Hampshire.

CONCORD, NH - A month-long drug investigation in Gilford by New Hampshire State Police has resulted in a Massachusetts woman being charged with uttering forged prescriptions.

Andrea D. Fournier, 36, of Rockland Street in West Roxbury, MA, was arrested on May 17, 2016, by the NHSP Narcotics and Investigations, Drug Diversion Unit.

According to a press statement, the unit was involved in a month-long investigation of whether or not Fournier was illegally purchasing prescription medications at two pharmacies in Gilford.

“The prescriptions submitted purported to have been authorized by a medical doctor in Waltham, MA, when in fact, they were not,” according to Sgt. Christopher Huse of the NHSP.

Fournier was arrested today, processed, and released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail. She’s due in Laconia District Court on July 28.

Assisting in the investigation, according to Huse, was the New Hampton NH Police Department.
