Media Exposure Drives NH Fugitive Of The Week To Surrender
Robert Jennings, a burglary suspect from eastern New Hampshire who allegedly failed to appear in court, turned himself in yesterday.

CONCORD, NH — This week’s Fugitive of the Week turned himself into the Strafford County Superior Court on Jan. 11, 2018, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. Robert Jennings, 42, a burglary suspect who allegedly failed to appear in court, was featured on Wednesday on a number of media outlets, including the New Hampshire Patch.com network of sites. By Thursday, he had hightailed it into court to turn himself in, according to Jeffrey White, a deputy U.S. Marshal.

“Mr. Jennings received word that he was the ‘Fugitive of the Week’ and chose to do the right thing and surrender at the Strafford County Superior Court,” White said Friday morning. “As we often indicate on the program, ‘Your odds of being released on bail are greatly increased if you surrender.’ This was the case with Mr. Jennings, as he appeared in Strafford Superior Court and was subsequently released on bail.”
