CONCORD, NH — Friday’s Mega Millions drawing had no winner which means that state lottery officials are expecting the Tuesday drawing this week to reach just shy of half a billion dollars. By tomorrow night, the Mega Millions game should reach $475 million. If there is a winner and they choose the one-time cash payout option, it will be in the neighborhood of $307 million before taxes.

“At $475 million, this is the seventh-largest Mega Millions jackpot on record, and the New Hampshire Lottery is hoping a lucky New Hampshire player gets to take home this tremendous prize,” said Charlie McIntyre, executive director, New Hampshire Lottery. “New Hampshire has never had a Mega Millions jackpot winner. Tuesday could be our lucky night!”

The current Mega Millions jackpot has been growing since mid-March when a $50 million ticket was sold in Missouri, according to officials. The largest Mega Millions drawing was last year – a $1.537 billion jackpot – the second largest on record.
