Meteor Caught On Camera On Mount Washington In New Hampshire
A tower camera at the Mount Washington Observatory captured a fireball in the sky around 3 a.m. on Friday.
SARGENT’S PURCHASE, NH — Scientists on top of the region’s highest mountain are investigating whether one of its cameras caught a meteor in the night sky Friday morning.
Around 3 a.m., a fireball lit in the sky and was captured on a Mount Washington Observatory tower camera.
“(It) appears to be a fireball or an especially bright meteor,” the observatory said.

The streak moved from south to north.
The observatory posted the video of the fireball on X around 8:45 a.m.
