Why are you seeking elective office?
I believe New Hampshire deserves better than what we have gotten from the House of Representatives in recent years. Democrats keep trying to pass income taxes and higher business taxes. This cannot be allowed to happen. Concord needs better conservative and pragmatic representation in the House.
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
No New Taxes. I will vote and fight against any new tax on income, businesses, property, energy, or sales.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
My opponents (both Democrat incumbents) seem to love new taxes, and show no remorse for voting in favor of taxing hard working Granite-Staters. They are focused on passing legislation that falls in line with a radical left agenda.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)
They voted to create an income tax (SB1)
They voted to create an income tax (again), capital gains, business taxes (HB1)
They voted to increase state spending by $1.5 Billion
...and this is just the beginning.
They want to increase the minimum wage to $15 an hour, and while sounds great, this is impossible for many small businesses. While I agree that wages need to be reviewed, a flat across the top minimum wage does not make sense in many cases, and will harm the economy over all. We need to let people, businesses, and the market decide for themselves what is best.
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform
Protect our Second Amendment, Support our Law Enforcement and Judicial Systems, Protect Students from predatory student loans without defaulting on NH taxpayers, Incentivize small business ownership and entrepreneurial ventures, Protect a woman's right to choose her reproductive options,
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
Running 2 small businesses and assisting countless businesses and organizations across the state grow and generate economic activity
The best advice ever shared with me was …
It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that things are difficult. - Seneca
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
As a moderate Republican in Concord it's going to be a tough vote for me.
But I do not believe I am a "typical" Republican that they read about on CNN or MSNBC. I ask that those who that usually vote down the line, think twice and give my platform a look beforehand. I believe in a woman's right to choose. I believe that New Hampshire does not need an income tax. I believe that we need to protect our Second Amendment. And I believe that most Granite Staters will agree with me on most of my issues, regardless of party affiliation.
All I ask is for the chance to prove that I will work hard every day for New Hampshire, just like I have for my businesses, my education, and my clients.
