HOOKSETT, NH — A state dive team located an SUV and a man missing since last month in the Merrimack River in Hooksett. Chief Janet Bouchard of the Hooksett Police Department announced the discovery Thursday after a more than 24-hour search of the river for Tre Rouse, 24, of Pembroke, a man with autism who had been missing since Nov. 15. Pembroke police, she said, had received information that Rouse might be in the river.

"Hooksett and Pembroke police were assisted by the New Hampshire Fish and Game who, using underwater equipment, located the missing man’s vehicle submerged in approximately 24 feet of water near the boat launch in Lamberts Park," she said. "Police do not expect foul play was involved."

Pembroke police confirmed on the department's Facebook site that investigators used GPS via cellphone apps to find Rouse and it led them to the boat launch at the park.

"Police would ask that the families be left alone to deal with this terrible situation," the post stated. "The Pembroke police want to thank all who assisted in this investigation and all that shared and posted Tre as missing in hopes to have a better outcome."
