Mitkonis Earns CPA Certification

Demetrios (James) Mitkonis of Nathan Wechsler & Co, P.A. recently earned his New Hampshire certified public accountant (CPA) licensure through the New Hampshire Board of Accountancy, according to a press statement.

Mitkonis is a senior accountant with the firm, concentrating his practice in the area of nonprofit and individual tax return.

“This certification represents months of hard work, training and commitment,” said Rusty Mosca, the firm’s managing director. “We’re extremely proud of James on this achievement and the level of service this allows him to provide our clients.”

Practicing CPAs in New Hampshire are required to have completed extensive college coursework in financial accounting, auditing, taxation and management accounting as well as studies in business, business law, business information systems, finance, professional ethics and economics.

Mitkonis earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in marketing and his Master of Science in accounting from the University of New Hampshire. Before joining Nathan Wechsler & Co. in 2012 Mitkonis was a Marketing Manager at a technology firm in Portsmouth.
