Money Being Raised to Help Dog that was Accidentally Shot
A service dog in Concord named Panzer is on the mend after being injured earlier this month.

A family service dog that was accidentally shot earlier this month is on the mend after being brought to a local animal hospital with multiple injuries. The dog was transported by the Concord Police and admitted to the animal hospital. A few days ago, after some of the injuries were allowed to heal, doctors surgically fixed his leg.
The family has set up a GoFundMe.com page to raise money to offset the cost of the medical treatment. When he was brought in, the owner was handed an invoice totaling more than $6,000, according to the family. Those costs do not include follow-up appointments and other medical procedures after the dog is discharged.
Panzer is described as ”a very loyal and energetic dog who can’t wait to go home” to his mom, dad, and four brothers (one, of the four legged type). Here is the site for more information about Panzer’s recovery.
