The Merrimack River continued to move water from the mountains at heightened levels today, seemingly higher levels than recorded on Aug. 30.
At two different times during the day of Aug. 31, around 7:15 a.m. and again at around 3:45 p.m., the flow of the Merrimack River was recorded and seemed to be at higher levels recorded the previous day, reaching one of the granite park benches at the 6 Loudon Road office complex.
The National Weather Service was predicting that the water levels on the Merrimack would start to recede by the evening of Aug. 30, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
