Our Bach’s Lunch Concert on May 11 features Music School faculty members Matt Langley (saxophone), David Tonkin (guitar), Scott Kiefner (bass), and Tim Gilmore (drums). You'll hear a mix of jazz styles from early New Orleans through today, and learn how rhythms and melodies from Cuba, Africa, Eastern Europe and other places affected music born in America.

“Musical Migrations” is the theme of this year’s Bach’s Lunch programs, which are an outgrowth of the Music School’s leadership work on the Steering Committee of the Welcoming Concord Initiative. Welcoming Concord began through the statewide efforts of the Endowment for Health’s Immigration Integration Initiative, and is a forum for collective action and shared learning, with the goal of warmly welcoming New Americans into the cultural, economic, and civic life of the region.

The Bach's Lunch Series is sponsored by the Timothy and Abigail Walker Lecture Fund and the Gertrude Couch Trust; TD Wealth Management, NA; Trustee. For more information, please call 603-228-1196 or visit here.
