Natalie Turgeon to Sing at N.H. Motor Speedway
Will perform National Anthem to NASCAR fans.

From Boston to Austin, Natalie Turgeon has been leaving her mark on the country music scene, garnering rave reviews from critics along the way. RAM Trucks says “Lead singer Natalie Turgeon belted out the lyrics with such force and conviction that you’d swear she was born in the Grand Ole Opry rather than New Hampshire.” Joyce Kulhawik, Boston’s premiere entertainment critic says of Natalie, “your voice is rock solid, I am a fan” and Wendy Geller of Yahoo! Music says “The girl has a voice!”
Just over one year ago, Natalie’s public appearances were open mic’s at the Red Blazer in Concord. When she decided to make music her career, she put her heart and soul into the task. Last fall she sang at the New Hampshire Country Music Association (NHCMA) contest and the New England Country Music Organization Country Invitational Showdown (NCIS), where she easily swept the “Female Vocalist” and “Female Entertainer of the Year” awards. In November and December, Natalie was invited to bring her country music to Boston’s Artist Live stage at Ryles, a jazz club in Cambridge, Mass., where she rocked the stage with Boston’s top up-and-coming Pop/R&B singers. Artist Live promotors say “Natalie is truly amazing”.
With these accomplishments in such a short time-frame, Natalie formed a band. With the help of her father-in-law (and lead guitarist), Natalie recruited four musicians with great music backgrounds, to create the Natalie Turgeon Band (NTB). Natalie describes their style as country with a rocking attitude (which her band calls Nattitude). In January 2011, NTB took on an ambitious challenge: write a song, record it, make a music video and submit it to Ram Trucks for their online Battle of the Bands, with no budget. In one short week, the audio was recorded, a truck was borrowed, a location was borrowed, and with the bass player doubling as the camera-man, a video was produced. The result was “Country-ish”, their first single. In February 2011, NTB was notified by RAM Trucks that they were selected as one of the two finalists to be flown all expenses paid to Austin, Texas to compete in RAM’s “Battle of the Bands”. In May and June of this year, NTB performed on the nation’s longest running entertainment TV series, “Community Auditions”, syndicated throughout New England. NTB played for four weeks and easily earned the four stars necessary to secure a spot in the upcoming December finals. NTB is currently writing new songs and performing throughout New Hampshire and New England.
On Sunday, Sept. 25, Natalie will be bringing her first very successful year to a close only five miles from her home, at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon. She is extremely grateful to NHMS to be given the opportunity to perform in front of her biggest audience to date, close to 100,000 in attendance, and televised on ESPN, as she sings her heartfelt rendition of our National Anthem to all NASCAR fans.
