National Night Out is Aug. 4

The Concord event will take place at Rollins Park.

National Night Out is a month away – Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Rollins Park from 5 to 8:30 pm. Mark your calendar and bring your family and friends to a fun and educational event, according to a press statement.

FUN: There is something for everyone: police demonstrations, wildlife displays and animal encounters, fire safety, Touch-A-Truck, rock climbing wall, games, contests, kid events, and of course, food!

BADGE BALL: Teams will battle it out to bring home the trophy and bragging rights. Get your team together now and contact Dana Dexter (ext. 3057) or Ryan Howe (ext. 3738) to get on the schedule: 225-8600.

FOOD: Hot dogs, pizza, fried dough, cotton candy, sno-cones, ice pops, fresh lemonade and ice cream will be available for $1.00 each (proceeds go to support the National Night Out event). Buy your food tickets at the Gazebo in the center of the park, near the stage and food vendors. Tickets are $1 each.

GETTING THERE: Havenwood Heritage Heights will be providing shuttle buses that will make 5 minute loops between the parking lot at Rundlett Middle School and the Broadway Street entrance to Rollins Park. Shuttles run from 4:45 until 8:15 p.m.

Note: parking will not be available on the residential side of Bow Street, but you will be able to park on the side of Bow Street that abuts the Park. Handicapped parking is reserved near the entrance to the Park on Broadway.
