CONCORD, NH — Two exhibitions in the League of NH Craftsmen's headquarters in Concord showcase the professional and personal journeys of artisans through Dec. 20. The two exhibits, "Then and Now - How Far We’ve Come,” as well as "Journey: An Encaustic Exhibition," feature current works that show the evolution of each craftsmen.

"These beautiful exhibitions complement one another in theme and spirit," said Miriam Carter, executive director of the League of NH Craftsmen. "The work of our three guest artists, in addition to that of our members, allows us to introduce new craft and art mediums to our community. We hope visitors will be inspired to try their hand at fine craft after seeing how our Juried members and guest artists have grown and changed over their careers."

The encaustic exhibition features the work of three women: Fran Koenig, from Western Australia, explores the wild geographies of the Kimberley area through her abstract paintings of the Bungle Bungle Range; Emma Ashby presents haunting images of marshlands and coastal regions of both England, where she studied, and New England, which she calls home; and Wo Schiffman of New York City offers expansive panels of her personal journey of discovery focused on the origins of the universe and man’s place in this evolving story.
