New Hampshire Fugitive Task Force Assisting With Escapee Case
Marshals are seeking tips about Shawn Anthony Tarr, a felon with an extensive criminal history in Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.

CONCORD, NH — The U.S. Marshals-New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force is seeking tips about a felon with a long criminal history who is accused of failing to return from a work release program Saturday.
Shawn Anthony Tarr, 44, is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighs around 210 lbs. He has blue and blond hair. Tarr has a number of tattoos on both arms, his back, abdomen, left calf, and left hand.
Originally from Maine, Tarr has also been known to use the alias "Charles H. Casey" in the past, according to Jeffrey White, a deputy marshal.

"Tarr is wanted for a walkaway escape from the New Hampshire State Prison for Men in Concord," White said. "Tarr was on a work-release assignment when he departed and failed to return this past Saturday."
Tarr was finishing up a sentence on controlled drugs act, falsifying physical evidence, and larceny charges at the time he was out on work release.

"Tarr's current whereabouts is unknown," White added, "and it should be noted that he has an extensive criminal history dating back to 1994 in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts."
