New Hampshire North Country Fugitive Wanted For Failure To Appear
Joshua Cismowski was convicted on unauthorized use, drug, and assault charges, received a suspended sentence, and skipped his probation.

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections is asking for the public’s help locating a fugitive who failed to appear at a court date in May after failing to report to probation.
Joshua A. Cismowski is 30, white, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and weighs around 140 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
Cismowski, according to investigators, received probation in Carroll County Superior Court after being convicted in June 2023, on unauthorized use of a vehicle, drug, and domestic violence-assault charges, where he had struck another person.

Cismowski, however, was accused of failing to report to probation to complete his case opening requirements. Eleven months later, he failed to appear at a motion to impose hearing, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
“He is known to evade arrest,” the fugitive alert stated. “Cismowski also has a lengthy criminal record spanning across multiple counties to include an outstanding arrest warrant out of the Berlin Police Department for theft, drug charges, and criminal trespass.”

Investigators said Cismowski was previously known to live in Berlin, where he has family, friends, and associates.
According to superior court records, Cismowski was charged with acts prohibited twice after incidents in Berlin in April 2022. One charge was dismissed. He pleaded guilty to the other charge in October 2023 and received a 12-month sentence, suspended for two years, and a $434 fine, suspended for a year.
If you see Cismowski or know where he is, do not try to apprehend him. Contact the Department of Corrections at 603-271-1804, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office at 603-539-2284, or your local police department.
