NH Child Rape Suspect Shot, Killed In Florida
Breaking: James Hobbs was shot and killed last night in St. Augustine, FL, according to press reports online.

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL — James “The Whip” Hobbs, a former Nashua attorney who was out on parole after defrauding clients, was shot and killed last night in Florida. He was wanted by the District of New Hampshire - New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force on a warrant for aggravated felonious sexual assault on a child under 15 by the Amherst Police Department on Jan. 17, 2018. According to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Department, the task force developed information that Hobbs, 58, was staying in the Howard Johnson’s Motel located near Route 16 and I-95 around 6 p.m. last night.
Investigators confirmed that Hobbs’ vehicle was in the parking lot and began speaking with motel employees about which room Hobbs was occupying.
Task force members approached Hobbs’ motel door and asked him to exit. Hobbs reportedly exited but reportedly refused to comply over a period of time and “made several sudden moves” which caused three law enforcement officers to discharge their weapons.
