Update: Corrections New Hampshire Transitional Housing Walk Away Arrested

Jason Pedro, a Salem robbery convict, failed to return to the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit on Tuesday; he was found, arrested Saturday.

7:08 p.m. on Dec. 1o: Jason Pedro, who was placed on escape status as of 10:15 p.m. on Dec. 6, after reportedly not returning to the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester, was captured and arrested on Saturday by Jason Darrah, an investigator with the NH DOC. He was taken to the New Hampshire State Prison for Men where he is being held.

CONCORD, NH — Corrections department investigators are searching for a robbery convict accused of not returning to a transitional housing unit after work on Tuesday.

Jason Pedro, 37, was placed on escape status as of 10:15 p.m. after reportedly not returning to the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester. He was last seen on Maple Street around 5:30 p.m. Pedro was walking and was scheduled to return at 7 p.m.

Pedro is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs around 215 pounds. He has hazel eyes, brown eyes, and a light mustache and is growing a beard. Pedro was last seen wearing khaki pants, a dark gray jacket, khaki boots, a dark winter hat, and a gray backpack.

Pedro was due to be paroled as early as Dec. 26. His maximum sentence is through Dec. 25, 2024.

The case involved an armed robbery and criminal threatening with a deadly weapon incident in Salem in October 2020. He pleaded guilty to the robbery charge in November 2021 while the threat charge was nolle prossed.
