NH Democrats Launch 'Swamp Creature' Ad Against Lewandowski
While he isn't a candidate for the 2020 U.S. Senate race yet, Democrats target Trump's 2016 campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski.
CONCORD, NH — Democrats in the Granite State aren't waiting for President Donald Trump's former campaign manager to announce a 2020 U.S. Senate run before deciding to rev up the attack ads. The New Hampshire Democratic Party released a 45-second digital Facebook ad buy targeting Corey Lewandowski of Windham and his role lobbying in Washington, D.C., after the president's election in 2016. Democrats believe that "scrutinizing how Lewandowski the lobbyist has sold access to the Trump Administration" will be a liability for the candidate if he is the Republican nominee to face incumbent U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-NH.
"Corey Lewandowski has spent every minute since the 2016 election scheming to cash in on Trump's presidency," said NHDP spokesperson Josh Marcus-Blank. "Corey works for his clients, including predatory lenders and foreign interests, not New Hampshire, and he will continue doing that even while he campaigns for Senate."
Lewandowski, who has stated that he will make a decision on a Senate run soon, posted a reaction to the video on Twitter.

"I’m being attacked by the NH D’s. It shows how weak @JeanneShaheen’s record is for the people of NH that they will say and do anything to help prop up a failed US Senator who has never passed a major piece of legislation but has gotten very rich while serving in elective office," he wrote.

Two other Republicans are currently running for the nomination: Former Army Gen. Don Bolduc and former House Speaker William O'Brien. Others are expected to also jump into the race.
