NH DOC Searching For Walkaway

Breaking: Kyle Joseph Lemire allegedly failed to return to the Calumet House from his place of employment this morning. Have you seen him?

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections is searching for a minimum-security inmate who was placed on “escape status” this morning after allegedly failing to return from his place of employment, according to an alert. Kyle Joseph Lemire, 24, was placed on escape status at just after 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 24, 2017. He is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs 140 lbs., and has brown hair and brown eyes.

“He has a tear shaped tattoo under his left eye,” according to Jeffrey Lyons, the public information officer for the NH DOC. Lemire was convicted of delivery of articles to prisons in October 2015, and robbery in Hillsborough County Superior Court in June 2014. He was given multiple year sentences with both convictions.

The New Hampshire State Police and the New Hampshire Department of Corrections Investigations Bureau are investigating. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact their local law enforcement agency or the New Hampshire State Prison at 603-271-1801.
