NH Felon, Accused Of Exposing Child To Fentanyl, Wanted By Corrections
Shaunna Lee Murphy, who has tattoos of mushrooms, diamonds, flowers, and bears, is wanted by corrections officials on probation violations.

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections is asking for the public’s help finding a felon with several active charges who is wanted on probation violations.
Shaunna Lee Murphy is white, 33, about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, and weighs around 125 pounds. She has blue eyes and strawberry-blond hair. Murphy has a tattoo of the words “Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile,” a lyric from the Grateful Dead song “He’s Gone,” along with mushrooms, diamonds, and bears on her right leg. Another tattoo is a sleeve on her right arm featuring an eye, clock, flower, and a rose.
Murphy, investigators said, was placed on probation in May 2022. A few months later, she was accused of fentanyl possession, second-degree assault-deadly weapon and bodily injury, and second-degree assault extreme indifference, based on a prior incident.

“These charges allege that Murphy exposed a young child to fentanyl when that young child ingested her fentanyl and overdosed,” an alert stated. “Murphy was indicted by a grand jury on these charges in August, 2022. Additionally, Murphy has been charged for possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine in December 2022 by Plymouth Police Department.”
Murphy is wanted on three warrants and was last known to be living in the Plymouth or Rumney areas of the state.

According to superior court records, Murphy’s criminal history dates back to September 2017 when she was arrested on drug and driving charges after a crash in Bristol. After pleading guilty to two drug charges in January 2019, she was accused of violating her probation in June 2020.
In 2018, she was accused of acts prohibited in Laconia, acts prohibited and driving after revocation or suspension in Sanbornton, and acts prohibited in Tilton. She pleaded guilty to the Laconia and Tilton charges.
In the summer of 2020, she was arrested on habitual offender charges in Bristol and Plymouth, but both charges were dismissed later. In November 2021, Murphy was recharged and pleaded guilty to the charges later.
Murphy was charged with second-degree assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and drug possession-subsequent charges in August 2022 connected to an incident in Rumney in November 2021. After many months of hearings, the case is still active.
In January 2023, she was charged with several penalties for offenses committed while on bail and drug possession-subsequent charges in Plymouth from December 2022. That case, too, is still active.
