New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force Arrests Massachusetts Child Rape Suspect
Fred Walker, formerly of Taunton, was accused of rape and indecent assault and battery of a child under 14. He was arrested in Londonderry.

CONCORD, NH — A Massachusetts child rape suspect was arrested in Londonderry, New Hampshire, on Wednesday on a warrant issued in February, the U.S. Marshals Service said.
Fred G. Walker, 71, with a last known address of Taunton, MA, was arrested in an apartment on Bridle Path in Londonderry around 8:45 a.m. by police and the joint fugitive task force. The warrant, issued out of the Taunton District Court, accused him of rape of a child with a 10-year age difference, indecent assault and battery on a child under age 14, and attempting to commit a crime charges.
Task force members in the Bay State established that Walker was no longer living in Taunton or Massachusetts. According to Jeffrey White, a deputy marshal in New Hampshire, investigators discovered he had a family member living in Londonderry. Walker was arrested without incident, he said.

“Walker was brought to the Londonderry Police Department, where he was processed as a fugitive from justice based on the outstanding arrest warrant issued out of Massachusetts,” White said. “Walker will be held at the Rockingham County Jail in Brentwood pending his initial court appearance in New Hampshire and subsequent return to Massachusetts to face these very serious allegations.”
White said along with task forces in both states, Londonderry police and the Strafford County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the arrest and investigation.
