A security officer at the hospital spoke to the officer and alleged that Ferland had kicked and damaged walls in a room. The officer went to the room and spoke with Ferland – who was in four point restraints – and he allegedly admitted to kicking the walls. When asked why, he reportedly stated that he felt that he was not getting the necessary medical attention he needed and the only way to get attention was by kicking and damaging the walls, according to the affidavit.
The officer returned to the security office and watch surveillance footage and alleged seeing Ferland kicking and punching the walls. The area of the wall with the damage had just recently been repaired, according to the report. Security at the hospital estimated the new damage to be about $500.

The officer returned to the room to take pictures of the damage before heading back to headquarters.
“While taking pictures, Kaleb advised that I was very lucky that he was restrained on the bed,” the officer alleged. “When asked what he meant by that, he stated, look at the walls.”
After returning to police headquarters, the officer found out that Ferland was arrested the night before and was out on bail so a breach charge was added to the report. An affidavit was issued on June 8, and he was arrested on June 28.
According to reports online, Ferland was arrested in Warner in January 2016, while hiding behind his grandparents’ house, after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend in Hillsborough.
“He had fled the scene before police could question him and then fled into the woods prior to being taken into custody,” police alleged in a report online. “He came out of the woods without incident and was placed under arrest.”
