NH Primary: Trump Holds Huge Lead; Sanders Edging Clinton, Poll Says
Scott Walker has experienced the largest drop in support of any major candidate, according to Public Policy Polling.

With the New Hampshire primary six months away, Donald Trump holds a commanding lead and Bernie Sanders is edging Hillary Clinton, according to a new poll.
Public Policy Polling’s latest survey shows Trump leading the Republican field with 35 percent. Nobody is within striking range—John Kasich is closest at 11 percent.

“This is by far the best we’ve found Donald Trump doing anywhere during his entire surge,” said PPP President Dean Debnam. “If anything he just seems to be getting stronger as the campaign rolls on.”
On the Democratic side, Sanders is at 42 percent, with Clinton at 35 percent. The poll’s margin of error is plus/minus 5 percent.

Republican hopeful Scott Walker has seen the biggest drop in support of any of the major candidates, the poll found. He’s now at 7 percent—a previous poll had him leading the field at 24 percent.
These are the latest GOP rankings:
- Donald Trump, 35 percent
- John Kasich, 11 percent
- Carly Fiorina, 10 percent
- Jeb Bush/Scott Walker 7 percent
- Ben Carson, 6 percent
- Chris Christie/Ted Cruz/Marco Rubio, 4 percent
- Rand Paul, 3 percent
And on the Democratic side:
- Bernie Sanders, 42 percent
- Hillary Clinton, 35 percent
- Jim Webb, 6 percent
- Martin O’Malley, 4 percent
- Lincoln Chafee, 2 percent
- Lawrence Lessig, 1 percent
