NH State Troopers Make Wrong-Way DUI Arrests On Interstate 93

Heidi Jo Moore of Milton was arrested in New Hampton Monday. Not long after, Christopher Maher of Woburn, Massachusetts, was also arrested.

CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire State Police made early morning arrests Monday accusing two drivers of not only drunken driving by also driving on the wrong side of Interstate 93 in two different locations.

At just before midnight, state troopers were sent to a report of a vehicle off the southbound side of the I-93 in New Hampton. When the trooper arrived at the scene, he found a vehicle "facing the wrong-way on the roadway," according to Sgt. Vincent Greico of Troop D out of Concord.

The trooper "was able to determine that the vehicle had, in fact, been traveling the wrong-way" before stopping. A "further investigation" by the trooper led to the driver, Heidi Jo Moore, 46, of Milton, being accused of intoxication by either liquor or drugs. She was arrested later on driving under the influence-subsequent, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest charges.

A short time later, troopers were told about a motorcycle traveling along the northbound side of I-93 driving in the wrong direction in Tilton. A trooper from the first accident cleared the scene and with the help of Tilton police, pulled the motorcyclist over in Northfield.

After an investigation, Christopher Maher, 27, of Woburn, Massachusetts, was arrested on driving under the influence-second offense and reckless conduct charges.
