NH Strangler Caught in Vermont
Richard Decelle, last week's Fugitive of the Week, was arrested by VT State Police on Friday, according to U.S. Marshals.

A New Hampshire fugitive wanted for a parole violation after being convicted of second-degree assault by strangulation was caught in Vermont last week, according to Deputy U.S. Marshal Jeffrey White.
Richard Decelle, 47, was arrested on July 17, 2015, and charged as a fugitive from justice in Vermont, based on the outstanding NH arrest warrant.

According to White, due to the “extensive press coverage” connected to the alert, “several people contacted the fugitive task force and revealed that Decelle was currently staying at a specific motel on Route 103, in Ludlow, VT.” The information was forwarded to the VT State Police – who also work as marshals in that state – and they were able to go to the motel and arrest Decelle without incident. He is being held in Vermont pending a return to the New Hampshire State Prison.
