NHSP: New Hampton Man Beat Ex with Fire Extinguisher
Troopers seek Carl Grace after assault, death threat incidents in Hill, two hours before his new girlfriend's house is consumed by flames.

New Hampshire State Police troopers are looking for Carl Grace, 48, of New Hampton, after an alleged domestic assault incident at his ex-girlfriend’s home on Borough Hill Road in Hill.
According to an alert, troopers were called to the home around 12:30 a.m. on April 4, 2015, after Grace allegedly “broke into the residence and assaulted his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend with a fire extinguisher,” according to the report. Both the woman and man sustained injuries but refused medical attention as a result of the assault.
Grace allegedly fled the scene to an “undetermined location,” according to state police, but allegedly “threatened to return and shoot both of them.” He was driving a 2000 Ford F-150 pickup truck, silver, with a New Hampshire license plate of 3364214. He is considered armed and dangerous, according to police.

According to the New Hampshire Union Leader, about two hours after the alleged attack, the house that Grace lived in that is owned by his new girlfriend, was consumed by fire.
Fire and rescue teams were called to the fire on Main Street at around 2:20 a.m. When firefighters arrived, “the home was fully engulfed in flames,” according to the report. No one was in the historic home, according to firefighters, but the fire chief presumes the blaze is suspicious.
