NHSP: Pembroke Man Bagged in Bow Doing 111 mph

Shaun Chase was arrested last night and charged with aggravated DWI; he also had an active federal warrant.

A local man was arrested last night on a warrant and DWI charge after allegedly speeding on I-93, according to the New Hampshire State Police.

Shaun Chase, 42, of Pembroke, was arrested on May 18, 2015, and charged with aggravated DWI and an active warrant by U.S. Marshals for a federal probation violation.

According to Lt. Greg Ferry of the New Hampshire State Police, at around 10 p.m. last night a trooper traveling north on I-93 just north of the Hooksett tolls reportedly observed a Hyundai Accent pass by at around 80 mph hour.

After passing the trooper, the Hyundai quickly accelerated and reached speeds of 85, 95, and eventually, 111 mph, according to the report. The vehicle was stopped in Bow. The trooper found the driver, Chase, to allegedly be “highly impaired, aggressive, and uncooperative.” He was arrested and charged after reportedly refusing a breath test. Chase also had an active warrant, according to the report.

Chase was held at the Merrimack County House of Corrections and later, will be remanded to U.S. Marshals.

According to online reports, Pembroke Police arrested Chase in April 2014, on an active warrant issued by Manchester Police.
