One Of America's Oldest Craft Fairs Celebrates 86th Year

The League of NH Craftsmen annual fair features hundreds of artisans at the Mount Sunapee Resort. The event runs through Aug. 11.

NEWBURY, NH — The 86th annual League of NH Craftsmen's Fair is now underway at the Mount Sunapee Resort in Newbury. The fair runs through Aug. 11. The event – one of the oldest craft fairs in the country – features the work of artisans as well as live demonstrations, food, music, items for sale, and more.

About 25,000 people are expected to attend in 2019.

"This year it’s all about the new – exhibitions, workshops, bands and food, as well as inspiring crafts," said Miriam Carter, the executive director of the League. "This is more than a shopping experience – it’s an opportunity to explore the world of fine craft making. As a statewide arts organization and nonprofit, this is our yearly opportunity to celebrate our members and their extraordinary talent."
