Concord Fire and Rescue teams along with police were sent to the hotel for a report of two people overdosing. When they arrived, EMTs issued medical aid but neither needed transportation to the hospital, according to Lt. Timothy O’Malley of the Concord Police Department.

“During the on-scene investigation, officers observed hypodermic needles, a large amount of cash, multiple packages of pills, a large scale, and a box of plastic baggies,” O’Malley alleged. “Through these observations and interviews, they developed probable cause to arrest the two individuals for possession of drugs with the intent to distribute.”

Officers reportedly seized a bag at the scene and later, applied for a search warrant. Inside the bag, police allege, was 115 grams of methamphetamine valued at $20,000 as well as several thousand dollars in cash, according to O’Malley.

Malone and D’Amore were processed and released. They are both due in court on Nov. 14.
