Pair Arrested on Charges After Failed Alleged Home Invasion
Police: A Hooksett homeowner and relative of Zachary Noel reportedly shot at him during an incident last night. Matthew Snyder also charged.
HOOKSETT, NH — Two central New Hampshire men were arrested last night after an alleged failed home invasion attempt in Hooksett, according to police. Zachary Noel, 22, of Hooksett, and Matthew Snyder, 22, of Manchester, were arrested on charges on March 9, 2017, after police were sent to Pleasant Street for an incident.

According to a post on Facebook, Hooksett Police headed to the home after a man alleged that Noel attempted to enter his residence.

“An adult male inside the residence fired a handgun toward Noel in self-defense,” according to police. “No one was struck or injured. A physical altercation ensued between Noel and the homeowner, who is a relative of Noel’s. Noel left the residence and began causing damage to a vehicle and the home.”
As officers arrived, Noel and Snyder were allegedly fleeing toward another home. When ordered to stop, they allegedly refused.

“After a short foot pursuit, officers were able to take Snyder into custody,” the report alleged. “A short time later Noel was found hiding near the residence.”
Noel was charged with resisting arrest, two counts of simple assault, two counts of criminal mischief, and one count of possession of a controlled drug-marijuana. He was held and arraigned his morning. Snyder was charged with resisting arrest and is due in court on April 9.
According to news reports online, the pair were arrested in November 2012, in Manchester after a drug raid.
