Pair Wanted In Ohio For Robbery Arrested In NH

John Schofield of Portsmouth and Carol Dickey of Tallmadge, OH, were arrested in Hooksett on extraditable warrants.

HOOKSETT, NH — A chance encounter with the Hooksett Police last month led to charges against two for strong arm robbery in Ohio, according to police. John Schofield, 36, of Portsmouth, and Carol Dickey, 34, of Tallmadge, OH, were arrested on Aug. 23, 2017, on fugitive from justice charges. On Aug. 20, an officer in Hooksett obtained information about a man in the community who might be wanted on a warrant, according to Sgt. Mike Zappala of the Hooksett Police Department.

Schofield was located outside of the home, Zappala noted, and arrested on an extraditable warrant out of Ohio for strong arm robbery.

During the process of taking him into custody, Dickey reportedly exited the residence. A check by dispatch found that she, too, was wanted in Ohio for strong arm robbery and she was arrested.

Both Schofield and Dickey were transported to police headquarters, processed, and held at the Merrimack County Jail where they waited to be sent back to Ohio to face charges.
