Alleged Maine Drug Dealer Charged: Portsmouth Police Log

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Lee Cwalina, 27, of Tuttle Lane in Greenland, was arrested at 9:07 p.m. on March 6, 2017, for two counts of simple assault, criminal threatening, criminal restraint, and default or breach of bail conditions. Officers were sent to a verbal domestic incident on Woodbury Avenue after arriving, found out an alleged assault took place. A 12-hour “be on the lookout” alert was issued and later, Cwalina turned himself into police.

Jason W. Michaels, 46, of High Street in Somersworth, was arrested at 1:54 p.m. on March 6, 2017, for stalking. He was arrested in Market Square.

John Schofield, 36, of Greenleaf Avenue in Portsmouth, was arrested at 1:41 p.m. on March 6, 2017, for driving after revocation or suspension. He was arrested after a stop on the northbound side of the Route 1 Bypass. After a consent search of the vehicle, police learned Schofield was arrested in Dover on Jan. 5, and had a Concord District Court date on Jan. 25.

Peter H. Chace, 50, of Middle Street in Portsmouth, was arrested at 7:06 p.m. on March 5, 2017, for aggravated driving while intoxicate and driving while intoxicate. Police received complaints about a GMC pickup that was “all over the road” that was later stopped on Lafayette Road.

Caitlyn E. Hassett, 30, of Islington Street in Portsmouth, was arrested at 2:52 p.m. on March 5, 2017, for driving after revocation or suspension after a stop on Sagamore Avenue.

Christopher Deoleo, 29, of Lafayette Road in Portsmouth, was arrested at 1:24 p.m. on Dec. 29, 2016, on a bench warrant after a report of a fight on Woodbury Avenue.

Emily E. Plourde, 25, of Lafayette Terrace in North Hampton, was arrested at 1:51 a.m. on Dec. 28, 2016, for aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated after a stop on Lafayette Road.

Corey J. Hoffses, 54, of Dover Street in Dover, was arrested at 7:48 p.m. on Dec. 26, 2016, on a bench warrant and citation for open container after a report of an unwanted man in an alley on State Street.

Andrew Dougherty, 24, of East Avenue in Lewiston, ME, was arrested at 7:03 p.m. on Dec. 26, 2016, for possession of controlled/narcotic drugs with intent to distribute and possession of drugs in a motor vehicle. Officers were called to Rotary Circle for a vehicle complaint and after speaking with the driver of the vehicle and reportedly finding drugs during an inventory search, the vehicle was towed to police headquarters.

Michael J. Germain, 55, a homeless man now located in Portsmouth, was arrested at 1:34 a.m. on Dec. 26, 2016, for criminal trespass and default or breach of bail conditions. Police were sent to Lafayette Road for a report of a man who barred from a location and allegedly refused to leave. The man was later arrested.
