After Assault And Threat Arrests, Concord Man Accused Of Stalking And Breach Of Bail On The Heights (patch.com) — A Concord man with a history of prior arrests is facing new stalking and breach of bail charges after police say he violated court-ordered conditions near a woman's apartment at the Morning Star Condominiums on Loudon Road. Concord officers later confirmed his bail terms were still active, obtained a warrant, and arrested him in July; he has pleaded not guilty and is due back in Concord District Court in October.
   

2. Man dodges $12,055 late fee by returning 132-year-old magazine to New Hampshire library (commstrader.com) — A Concord Public Library policy freezing late fines inspired an 84-year-old Barrington man to finally return a magazine checked out in 1894, sparing him an estimated $12,055 in overdue fees. The Concord library is keeping the 132-year-overdue issue as a historical artifact, highlighting how fine-free policies can reconnect residents with long-lost materials and their local library.
   

3. 'What does this all mean?': Rundlett Middle School displays artifacts from unearthed time capsules (concordmonitor.com) — Rundlett Middle School in Concord has unearthed multiple student time capsules from 1976 and 1992, now being studied and displayed with help from the Concord Historical Society. Alumni visiting for Concord High's Class of 1976 reunion got an early look at artifacts ranging from a Yankees ticket stub to student life-prediction booklets, as the school plans how to preserve these memories during construction of the new building.
   

4. Week 3: Epping-Newmarket's Ahumada breaks record in showdown win; No. 1 BG rolls (unionleader.com) — Concord High's football team improved to 2-1 with a 28-19 road win over Salem, powered by 194 rushing yards and two touchdowns from Colin Savard. The Crimson Tide jumped out to a 28-0 lead before Salem rallied late, in a busy weekend of New Hampshire high school football that also saw several other regional teams notch key victories.
   

5. Monarch butterfly tracking app allows for crowdsourced research (wmur.com) — Monarch butterflies tagged in Concord are now part of a New Hampshire Audubon project that lets residents track migrations in real time through the Project Monarch Science app. With 50 butterflies tagged between Concord and Great Bay, the crowdsourced data will help scientists identify critical stopover sites and guide future conservation efforts as monarch populations continue to decline.
