No One Injured After Driver Of SUV Crashes Into Concord Heights Building: Video (patch.com) — Concord police and firefighters responded Saturday evening after an SUV crashed into the side of the Tropical Smoothie Café on Loudon Road in Concord Heights. The Nissan Rogue's driver, a woman, was not injured, and officials determined the building was structurally safe before clearing the scene. The incident followed another similar crash on the Heights earlier in the day.

A Concord Monitor survey of mostly long-term locals highlights parking policies, garage access, and later hours for eateries as key areas they'd like city leaders and businesses to improve.

Sheriff warns of phone scam in Merrimack County (newportdispatch.com) — Merrimack County officials in Concord are warning residents about phone scammers posing as sheriff's deputies, claiming people missed court and must pay fees by sharing bank details or gift cards. Authorities stress they never collect payments this way and urge anyone receiving such calls to hang up and contact the sheriff's office or local police instead.
   

4. Brady Spellman amazes again in Pinkerton victory over Concor... (unionleader.com) — Concord High's football team took a tough loss as Pinkerton's Brady Spellman dominated on the ground, piling up big runs and setting up scores. Coach Mike Leonard credited Pinkerton's control at the line, while Concord quarterback Rhys Craigue was intercepted to set up another touchdown, underscoring where the Tide will need to improve before their next matchup.
   

5. Jon E. Richardson (concordmonitor.com) — Family and friends are invited to honor longtime Contoocook resident Jon E. Richardson at a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from noon to 3 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home on North Main Street in Concord. The 88-year-old engineer, business owner, Mustang enthusiast, and devoted family man is remembered for his craftsmanship, community involvement, and 66-year marriage to his wife, Doris.
