Pittsfield Woman Arrested Again
Concord Police allege Kristen Macrae was drunk driving in the South End.

CONCORD, NH — An early morning drive through the snow banks, sidewalks, and double-yellow lines in the South End landed a woman in jail earlier this month on a DWI charge. Kristen Macrae, 21, of Pittsfield, was arrested at 2:39 a.m. on March 2, on a driving while intoxicated charge. While driving eastbound on Thorndike Street approaching Pierce Street, an officer allegedly saw a 1993 Toyota Corolla make a right hand turn driving over a sidewalk, according to a Concord Police arrest report.
The vehicle then went over a snow bank between the sidewalk and the street, the officer alleged.
The officer followed the vehicle as it drove down Thorndike and onto South State Street. While on South State Street, the officer alleged that the Toyota crossed over the double yellow line between Monroe and Concord streets.

The officer activated the blue emergency lights but the car allegedly continued until the officer activated the siren. Eventually, the Corolla pulled over.
According to the report, the officer requested a license and registration, but the woman, later identified as Macrae, presented a non-driver’s license ID and “fumbled through paperwork unable to locate the registration.”

The officer alleged that Macrae’s eyes were “red glassy and her face was flush” and she “was laughing a lot and seemed overly joyful.” Macrae, however, denied drinking.
The officer performed a field sobriety test and was later arrested for DWI. She was also summoned for driving on a sidewalk and no possession of driver’s license, which was later voided.
Macrae was later released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on March 18.
Macrae was arrested on Jan. 30, on a theft charge at the Bed Bath and Beyond.
