Back on Sept. 15, 2015, officers were sent to Sears on Loudon Road at the Steeplegate Mall for a report of an attempted theft of two DeWalt drills from the store. At the time, store employees attempted to stop the subject. The subject, however, made some chicken noises and then fled the area on foot, leaving the drills behind.
In a statement, Lt. Timothy O’Malley, the commander of the criminal investigations unit for the department, stated that after releasing surveillance footage from the store, investigators received “multiple sources” that pointed to LeSage as the alleged culprit. Police were able to reportedly connect LeSage to the attempted theft on Sept. 15, and an actual theft on Sept. 13.

LeSage was served with arrest warrants at the Hillsborough County Jail where he was being held on other charges. He refused bail and will be arraigned later today in Concord District Court on the charges.
“The Concord Police would like to thank both the Manchester Police Department and the Hillsborough County House of Corrections for their assistance with this matter,” O’Malley noted.
LeSage, a registered sex offender, who was convicted of kidnapping a victim under 18 in May 2014, was arrested for burglary in January 2012, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader, and was also arrested for allegedly robbing his cousins with a knife in April 2013, according to WMUR-TV. Last month, he was arrested in Manchester for possession of controlled drug-cocaine/opium at the intersection of Bridge and Elm streets.
