CONCORD, NH — A tip from the community led corrections officials in the Granite State to capture another fugitive of the week.

Jesse Robert Hermonat, 26, was wanted on a parole violation warrant stemming from an initial conviction of assault by a prisoner. During the assault, investigators said he caused “serious bodily injury to his victim.” Hermonat, however, was out of prison.

After being featured, the department received a tip that he might be in East Wakefield. On Thursday, probation parole officers and Wakefield police went to the location of the tip and found him, according to a news release.

In October 2017, he was charged with assault by a prisoner-assault by an inmate at the New Hampshire State Prison for Men in Concord. Hermonat pleaded guilty to the Concord charge in February 2019 and the Berlin charge in March 2019. His sentence on the Berlin charge was amended in November 2020.
